Outward Goods: helping people connect with the outdoors

VAUX digital is excited to announce the launch of a new website for our client, Outward Goods.

Outward Goods is an outdoor apparel brand focused on helping people connect with the outdoors. Their initial offerings include shirts, warm weather gear, headwear, and accessories to help people get outdoors in style. Beyond creating stylish apparel and accessories, Outward Goods is focused on the mental health and ecological advantages of helping people enjoy the outdoors more often. According to their website, Outward has this to say about their mission:

We believe that a deepened relationship with the outdoors improves mental & physical health while increasing awareness of the need to protect & conserve our world.

Outward tasked VAUX digital first with designing their visual brand. With the help of the team at Outward, we developed a mark that included the symbols of both the mountains and the sea while invoking a sense of adventure. We then worked on identifying a font for Outward’s use that communicated rugged outdoorism, yet was accessible even city-dwellers. When combined to form the Outward logo, this mark and font capture the spirit of Outward and its products.

We then worked with Outward to develop their online store on the WordPress CMS using the e-commerce plugin, WooCommerce. The custom design and layout extended the Outward brand, integrated outdoor photography, and showcased Outward’s collection of outdoor apparel and products.

VAUX continues to work with Outward moving forward to grow their social media and email marketing audiences, implement online advertising campaigns, and manage their e-commerce website. We’re excited for the opportunity to help grow the Outward brand in the coming years.
